School as social and cultural institute
by Warda Irfan
School is the institute having the responsibility of educating the new
generation.
Culture is the common norms share within a community. For example In
Pakistan there is four major provincial cultures and many subcultures.
School can manifest functions like socialization and culturization;
schools also serve latent functions in society.
School can act as institute cultural change. School can effectively
transmit nations cultural to the young generation. I remembered that when I was
in school on the Independence Day there are many activities like green and
white flags decorations and singing of national anthem or other patriotic
songs. School effectively transmits culture.
Schools also act as agent of social change. We can provide awareness
about social issues to children. They are going to lead the nation so school
can promote socialization to children.
Schools help to mold a diverse population into one society with a shared
national identity and prepare future generations for their citizenship roles.
Students are taught about laws and our political way of life through civic
lessons, and they're taught patriotism through rituals such as saluting the
flag.
In the End, I will say that
·
The
School represents the future.
·
The
School transforms our children.
· The School is the strength of society.
